A Regrab is a wonderful training tool to place value on the area around the handler, to get a dog to hold onto or carry a disc, and to shape a retrieve. The Regrab teaches a dog that there is value in possessing a toy and to being around the handler with a toy.
The Regrab can be considered a “Re-Bite” or a “Re-Tug” and is best used by repeatedly letting the dog “win” the object.
