A new way to study Disc Dog Freestyle
Pawsitive Vybe has created a disc dog freestyle Martial Art called Disc Quan do – the Way of the Disc Dog.
Focusing on rigid forms designed to test the essence of disc dog abilities and providing a clear progression up the ladder of disc dog performance, Disc Quan Do is a progressive belt based system with ranks from White to Black Belt.
The goal is to create a simple and elegant framework that easily supplements normal disc dog freestyle training. Most all forms and demos are less than 1 minute long, and have great bearing on performance and successful and efficient execution of standard disc dog freestyle skills.
Belt Tests Every 3 Months
Sessions run 3 months at a time. After 3 months the subscription to the digital dojo must be renewed.
Every three months the student has an opportunity to move up a belt. One week will be allotted for a team’s belt test. Belt tests are done in person or via live stream. They take about 3-5 minutes total.
The object of the belt tests are perfect performance of the forms and demonstrations. The higher you go in rank, the cleaner you have to be. Missed discs are not deal breakers, but mistakes with the form or terrible throws can be.
