Pretty exciting day for us here at Pawsitive Vybe. I just OK’d the final proof of the book. It’s going to press on Tuesday. 10 days later and we should have a book! YAY!!!

[callout type=”center” title=”Snatch It Off the Press!” message=”Just hop on over to our book store and get a copy right off the press.” button_text=”Do It!” href=”http://books.pvybe.com/product/the-art-of-k9disc-print-edition/” target=”blank”]

We are new to the sport and everyone has just been saying,”Go out and practice.” Your book tells us what to do, why and how! Thank you so much!

We almost quit!  But your book is gonna keep us trying!

At this time we have a short run of printed books, 1/2 of which are already sold. We have limited numbers of wholesale books available for clubs, training facilities, and pet stores and boutiques. But if there is a good response we can bump up the production numbers before the book is delivered, I’m not holding my breath, but word of mouth can be some powerful stuff.

$28.42 is the cost per book when purchasing wholesale (10 or more). $49 is the suggested retail price. Do the math and you have a great club fundraiser or a decent mark-up per unit in the retail environment.

We also have a 20% discount for a four or more copies. Each book is dropped to $39.20. It’s a pretty good deal. Just cruise over to the PVybe Press Shop and select 4 or more or 10+ copies of the book and the discount will be applied on checkout.

The Art of K9Disc On the iTunes Store

Disc Dog Book in iTunes Store

The Art of K9Disc is available on the iTunes Store for iPad. It really is a slick book on the iPad. The hyperlinks and glossary are amazing, and taking notes might not be a bad idea either, the notes function is a tremendous tool in iBooks for Mac and iPad.

This was a huge snafu in my plan to take over the world for releasing the book, which was released in PDF format and iBooks back on the 22nd of December, but the iBooks store was offline at the time for the holiday season. Doh!

What made matters worse is that I wound up in some kind of registration no-man’s land in iTunes Connect, the tool used for uploading books, apps, and other things to the iTunes store. So that was a few days of wrangling rolling into 2015.

It totally worked out though, as the iBooks version was released on January 13th, Kimo’s 18th Birthday. The release date of the book in the iTunes store is my first dog’s birthday. Pretty amazing and emotional.

Disc Dog Training is not a Race

Some dogs come out of the whelping box jamming and some need to be taught. That’s the way it is. The point is that disc dog development is not a race and the sooner you stop looking at rapid development and comparing your pups development with that of another dog, the sooner you’ll be on the right page…
