13th November
Here are Apryl Lea and Pan Hot getting their Spooky on at Keegan’s Halloween Party. This is some video proof of an otherwise hazy evening.
#VloMo11 – We’re Taking Requests
This is day 9 of VloMo11 – 30 videos in 30 days. We’re a few days behind, but we’re trying to catch back up. You can see the rest of them on the Pawsitive Vybe Google+ page , and we’ll most likely be highlighting them somehow on the blog here…
We’re running out of ideas for videos, well not really, but we’re spending a lot of time talking about what to film instead of just filming stuff. So Apryl and I thought it would be a good idea to ask all of you what you’d like to see.
Stunt Kitty Extraordinaire, LaVerne is well rested and ready to go, and the rest of our … Read More »
DiscDog Wushu #1 – Butterfly Backvault to Handplant

Here’s a shot of a new sequence we’re working on. ;
The entire sequence is Scoot to Flip to 2 Disc Butterfly Back Vault to Handplant out throw.
Formats available: Quicktime (.mov), MPEG-4 Video (.m4v), MPEG-4 Video (.m4v)
The Session
Sometimes when working a new sequence, handler movement or throwing skill, I film myself walking through the moves on camera so I can remember how they go together.
This particular Session started with an Overhand Wrist Flip release I was working for vaults, Flips and Overs. I got some real cool action out of the disc and wanted to film it so I could have it on file. I’ve learned over the years that super cool moves are often forgotten if they’re not put on file. I’ve also learned that writing it down is a poor alternative to video – “WTF does ‘Spinny-Left-Drop’ mean?”

Canine Freestyle Winter 09 – Class 2
14th November
The dogs did much better getting focused and getting to work quickly.
The free shaped table on entry is proving to be a valuable asset to the class. The dogs should have a different idea about entering our training studio and the tone is appropriately set for work and success.
A station for backing up was set up as were 2 pedastals for spin and distance work.
Foundational set up moves:
Circle Clockwise/Circle Counter Clock
Backwards Through
During floortime, several of the handler’s really made great strides towards really moving their dogs around out there. Dog and handler started to look like a team.
