West Coast Swing

{phocamaps view=map|id=2}

We’re thinking about loading up the entire Pawsitive Vybe pack for a West Coast Swing in the July/August timeframe. We’re still in the planning stages, but have been chatting with some crazy dog people we know out there and it looks as if we can pull it off.

We’re planning on 2 seminars in each city, a day of Disc Dogging and a day of Canine Concepts, Pawsitive Vybe’s unique take on Positive Training.

Apryl and I will also be available for small group personals: Jam Sessions, Sport Evaluations, Behavioral Consults and Canine Concept lessons in the seminar cities and anywhere within 50 miles of our route.

Spring Training – Hops Jam #1

30th March

Trainer’s Notes:

Started with leashing Hops up and waiting for calm. It took approximately 45 seconds to obtain calm. He’s losing the classically conditioned over threshold response to the leash.

Then worked the door real quick with unsolicited eye contact with an focus on calm. A couple reps and Hops was released outside and immediately reoriented.

We waited for calm again before moving on. It took about 20 seconds.

We loose leashed walked to the field, focusing on calm and cool. Hops easily made the walk to the field maintaining calm.

We shifted gears once we hit the field to heeling. A cookie on nearly every step kept Hops in solid position.

The leash was released and Hops stayed engaged. Upon dismissal he went for the discs on the ground.

What Can I expect to Learn at a Pawsitive Vybe Disc Dog Seminar?

Tough Question.

You can expect to learn a ton about throwing, handling and playing the game of disc with your dog. There is no set schedule in our seminars – learning takes place a bit more organically. Essentially we’re approaching teaching seminar participants the same way we approach our dog training:

Guiding Philosophy

We cater to the strengths and weakness of the individual and the Pack. We evaluate the situation and put together a successful training plan for the session.

Below I’ve listed 57 of our lessons that we have available to us in a seminar. For those of you who have taken seminars from us, many of these will sound familiar. For those of you who are considering learning with us, each of these lessons can be compressed into 2 or … Read More »

Video Production Plan

20th November

We’re a little excited over here at P-Vybe.

We’ve got a new addition to our pack and he’s a Roxtar!

We are planning on running him through the disc dog checklist with some support from some of our other dogs. These training sessions will be professionally filmed by multiple cameras. We will then assemble the footage and use that as part of the foundation of the Pawsitive Vybe Network. At least that’s the plan. We’ll be putting together the specifics over the next week or so. It’s entirely possible that we might have a DVD in the making.
