Here’s Apryl Lea and Mr. Hippo doing some house cleaning.
Mr. Hippo is an assistance dog candidate for Animal Farm Foundation’s Assistance Dog program. He was rescued in Michigan and brought to NY via our network of super awesome dog people (Thanks Lindsay!). He’s a really nice, mushy kind of dog. You can see here that he’s a little apprehensive about the vacuum cleaner. He does show a bit of nervousness with new, and strange things, but as you can see he recovers quite well. We’re pretty sure that Hippo didn’t have a lot of life experience before coming here so most of what he encounters is pretty new to him. He’s right around 1 year old and is really starting to show some great work ethic and social skills.

Here’s Captain America doing some work in the City…
Captain America, Assistance Dog Candidate for Animal Farm Foundation’s burgeoning Assistance Dog Program headed by Apryl Lea of Pawsitive Vybe, gets some Public Access work in Spokane, WA, Missoula, MT and Coeur d’Alene, ID.

On June 29th of 2010 Apryl Lea earned the title of Assistance Dogs International North American Accredited Service and Hearing Dog Instructor.
Apryl has been working towards this moment since she became a Staff Trainer at Paws With A Cause in 2007.
With that awesome news, Apryl Lea will be taking a leave of absence from Paws to focus on Pawsitive Vybe.
This week Apryl will be firing up her Torch and doing some metalwork in preparation for BlissFest, a music festival that Apryl has attended for 18 of the last 19 years.
After that it will be on to whipping our pack into shape and planning some large projects for the remainder of 2010 and 2011.
