Socialize your puppy ASAP
Socialization is Key!
There is an early socialization period for puppies that ends at roughly 16 weeks. This period is critical in the development of your puppy. Puppies need to learn how to play with other puppiies and need to be exposed to many different experiences before they are 16 weeks old.
Puppies do not need to know how to sit, stay and heel when they are this age. That’s like Middle School stuff. Puppies at an early age need to focus on the basics – they need to learn how to learn.
Our puppy class is a socialization experience for puppies. They will learn appropriate dog on dog skills through supervised puppy play and they will learn how to come when called and offer attention to their handlers. Handler’s will learn about canine communication, the principles of Positive Training, and gain experience with proven techniques for managing and shaping behavior.
Your puppy will need to have at least their second round of shots to be allowed into class (usually around 12 weeks).
